With one tweet, President Trump put World Peace in grave danger:
It’s no question that John Bolton — President Trump’s pick to be the new National Security Advisor — is dangerous for any peace-seeking individual on this planet earth. Here is a collective of some of Bolton’s shocking past comments — and some of the reactions to Trump’s pick:
Of course, the majority of Americans don’t want to see their country get anywhere near another war. Three times last year, an NBC News / Survey Monkey Poll was conducted and participants were asked to rate how worried they were that the United States will become engaged in a major war in the next four years during President Trump’s presidency. Here were the results (of course, from before Bolton’s nomination), which show that Americans are very worried:
North Korea is one concern — back given his background, John Bolton is likely more interested in Iran and the Middle East. It would be interested to see how fearful Americans are now that John Bolton has been selected by Trump. One thing is clear — War is not the answer! The world needs peace — not Trump.

What the students of Parkland, Florida were able to organize this past weekend will not be forgotten any time soon. No matter what your opinion is on gun control and what level of change our country needs, it’s hard to not be inspired by the youth who came out to speak across the country. In particular, Emma González has become a household name.
If you haven’t seen Emma’s speech or some of the others from teenagers across the country this Sunday — you really owe it to yourself to watch as many as you can find. Go in with an Open Mind! These citizens may come from a different generation than you, but they love the same country that you do.
Emma’s powerful moment of silence in Washington DC this Sunday will be forever remembered — the chilling amount of time representing how long the gunman haunted her high school in Parkland, Florida. The coverage has already put her moment in the spotlight:
Vox: Emma Gonzalez’s incredible moment of silence at March for Our Lives
NYTimes: What Emma González Said Without Words at the March for Our Lives Rally
Time: Emma González Kept America in Stunned Silence to Show How Quickly 17 People Died at Parkland
Across the country, students came out with signs supporting Emma.
“EMMA GONZALEZ: WOMAN OF THE YEAR!”
“I STAND WITH EMMA”
“EMMA GONZALEZ FOR PRESIDENT!”
Check out these Google trends to really see Emma’s impressive reach:
Before you dismiss March for Our Lives and the #NeverAgain movement that these teenagers are driving — take a look at the recent opinion poll from Fox News. Seems that Americans have been keeping an open mind!
Nintendo has updated it’s E3 website to reflect their plans for 2018: https://e3.nintendo.com
Top players from around the globe will face off in electrifying Nintendo game tournaments. Who will come out on top? Tune in and find out!
Not a ton of specifics have been provided — but confirmation that Nintendo is once again planning to dominate the news cycle the week of the event is great to hear. Nintendo has announced two game tournaments for Nintendo Switch — Splatoon 2 World Championship 2018 and the Super Smash Bros. Invitational 2018.
Now when it comes to what Nintendo will actually be announcing — that we will just have to wait for. One thing is certain:
Marvel Studios has announced that production is under way on their female-led 2019 title, Captain Marvel. In a press release sent out today, Marvel explains that the film will be set in the 1990s.
“Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The major announcements hidden within the press release are three new cast members who will be reprising roles from other MCU titles. Djimon Hounsou and Lee Pace both return from Guardians of the Galaxy, in which they both played powerful Kree characters — Korath the Pursuer and Ronan the Accuser. It will be interesting to hear these character’s backstories and learn what they were up to while Peter Quill was still a young scavenger with Yondu’s crew.
Clark Gregg will also be returning to the movie side of the MCU to get involved with this 90’s Kree Invasion. Since the film is set prior to the character’s death during The Avengers, Gregg can finally reprise his popular role of Agent Coulson on the big screen. Of course, we know from Agents of SHIELD that Phil Coulson and his team have had their share of Kree adventures:
With these latest additions, the cast is really filling in and becoming one of the most impressive in the MCU! It will be great to see Samuel L Jackson back as Nick Fury to really tie the universe together — and to see Jude Law (Robert Downey Jr’s costar in the Sherlock Holmes franchise) join the MCU. Read the full press release on Marvel.com!
The film stars Academy Award® winner Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, with Clark Gregg, and Jude Law.
Conor Lamb went into the March 13’s special election understanding that every vote counted — and his campaign proved it. Lamb won a district in Pennsylvania that had been gerrymandered to the extreme in an attempt to make it impossible for a Democrat to win. In fact, a Democratic opponent hadn’t even been run in the district during past election cycles. But Lamb’s campaign, a rejection of Trump’s politics and views, went out and showed that when given the opportunity and someone to believe in, voters will turnout even in the most unlikely of places.
Keep in mind the critical role that Pennsylvania played in the 2016 Presidential Election. Hillary Clinton infamously overlooked the three states that lead most directly to her electoral college defeat. Thanks to our winner-takes-all system, despite winning the popular vote Hillary did not win the election. Ultimately — as Conor Lamb has proven — it comes down to turn out. Had Hillary’s campaign been able to convince Progressive leaning citizens in these Conservative parts of the country that their votes counted, she may be our president today.
The lesson? If Democrats want to win, they need to engage Progressive voters in every part of the country. They are out there! But their votes need to be earned by Democratic local candidates who can inspire them to get out and vote by championing liberal causes. The American people are ready to reject Trump and don’t want to send people to Washington that will help him. The Democratic Party has to do their part and
Senator Bernie Sanders makes it clear what every Democratic Party needs to do:
We need a 50-state strategy, so that half the states in this country have a Democratic Party, which today does not exist.
Let it ring from Lamb’s tweet from sea to shining sea — especially this November:
Every vote counts.
